Shakira satisfies 'Oral Fixation' with summer tour

Latin sensation Shakira will back "Oral Fixation, Vol. 2"--her first English-language album since 2001--with a late-summer run on the US arena circuit.

The singer's itinerary gets underway in early August and stretches through late November, with an emphasis on Southern California and Texas. Details are included below.

Tickets will begin hitting the box office on Saturday (4/29), according to Shakira's website, though a ticket pre-sale will launch on Wednesday (4/26). More information is posted at the site.

Released last November, "Oral Fixation, Vol. 2" is Shakira's first English-language disc since 2001's "Laundry Service." The new album, which features the cut "Don't Bother," follows last June's Spanish-language set, titled "Fijacion Oral, Vol. 1."

According to Epic Records, Shakira penned more than 60 songs over the two-year period leading up to the new releases. The bulk of "Vol. 2" is new material, but it also features English renditions of two songs from "Vol. 1": "Dia Especial" and "Make Me Believe." Among the other tracks on "Vol. 2" is "Illegal," which features Carlos Santana.
