Ashlee Simpson sets up summer 'I Am Me' tour

Pop artist Ashlee Simpson will spend much of her summer mounting a tour that will touch down at arenas and amphitheaters in more than 30 cities throughout the US.

Simpson is scheduled to launch the run on the West Coast in early June, and dates so far are piled up through the end of July. Details are included below.

The Veronicas will appear on all dates, and additional guests will be announced soon, according to Simpson's publicist.

The roadwork backs Simpson's sophomore effort, last year's "I Am Me." Released in October, the set debuted in the top slot on The Billboard 200 chart. Simpson's 2004 debut, "Autobiography," also topped the chart. The new disc features the song "L.O.V.E.," a staple of MTV's "Total Request Live" and Radio Disney.

Videos for the "I Am Me" cuts "L.O.V.E." and "Boyfriend" are posted at Simpson's website.

To date, Simpson's albums have sold a combined total of almost 6 million copies, according to a press release.
