Yellowcard maps out early summer trek
Alt-rockers Yellowcard, currently headlining the Virgin College Mega Tour, will mount their own tour following the end of Virgin's traveling circus.
The punk-pop quintet will embark on its own itinerary, laden with summer-festival appearances and club dates, almost immediately after their Mega Tour stint concludes, starting with a May 7 slot at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis.
The tour, which runs through late June, will pick up a pair of opening acts-- Matchbook Romance and Hedley--beginning with the June 1 stop in Tempe, AZ. Details are shown below.
Yellowcard's latest album, "Lights and Sounds," entered the Billboard album charts at No. 1 following its January release. The album, which was recently certified Gold by the RIAA, is the band's fourth studio album, and second release for Capitol Records.
Matchbook Romance released "Voices," the band's third album, all for the Epitaph label, in February. Hedley's self-titled debut album was released last year.
