Rob Thomas and Jewel to team for summer tour
Singers Rob Thomas and Jewel have unveiled the itinerary for their summer co-headlining tour.
The pair--labelmates who both record for Atlantic--will set out on a seven-week outing, starting off May 23 in Clearwater, FL. The tour will start out in the Southeast, work its way north and into the Midwest, and eventually finish in July with a slate of California appearances. Details are included below.
Toby Lightman, whose second album, "Bird On a Wire," is set for a July 25 release, will open the shows for the entire tour.
Thomas, lead singer for on-hiatus Matchbox Twenty, released his first solo album, "... Something to Be," last year. The disc has spent 50 weeks on The Billboard 200 chart, and briefly held the No. 1 spot last year. The first single from the album, "Lonely No More," earned Thomas a Grammy nomination.
Jewel is set to release her latest album, "Goodbye Alice in Wonderland," on May 2. The disc was produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls) and is Jewel's sixth studio album since making her recording debut in 1995.
