Bon Jovi adds shows to meet ticket demand
In the midst of a weekend in which about 500,000 Bon Jovi tickets were sold, the New Jersey rockers added more shows in many markets.
Additional shows have been tacked onto the band's itinerary to meet strong demand in Boston; East Rutherford, NJ; Montreal; Toronto; and Auburn Hills, MI. Other sellouts were reported in Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis; Uncasville, CT; New York City; Philadelphia; and Washington, DC, Bon Jovi's camp announced.
The band is said to be booking stops in several other North American markets, including Dallas; Atlanta; Seattle; Portland, OR; Milwaukee; Nashville; Houston; San Jose, CA; Los Angeles; Phoenix; and Las Vegas, according to a press release.
Bon Jovi takes to the road in early November, and will traverse major North American markets through at least January. The group is embarking on its first tour since 2003 to support its new album, "Have a Nice Day," which hit stores in September.
The quartet expects to remain on the road throughout 2006, and has already confirmed a run of European shows for next May and June. The European itinerary is posted on the band's official website.
