Staind plots ambitious fall headlining tour

Staind--whose chart-topping, third album landed in stores last month--will back the set with a fall outing that will include a round of dates with P.O.D., Taproot and Flyleaf.

Massachusetts-based Staind will launch the run with a round of Canadian shows that kick off in late November and feature Default in the opening slot. The band then hooks up with Taproot and Flyleaf for a pair of early November shows before P.O.D. signs on mid-month to round out the four-act outing, which is dubbed the Fall Brawl tour.

Dates for the Fall Brawl trek stretch from mid-November to mid-December, and Staind has filled some cracks in the schedule with a few one-off shows of its own. Details appear in the itinerary below, but venues for the outing have not yet been announced.

Staind's new album, "Chapter V," surfaced in August and debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart, making it the band's third consecutive album to do so. The set features the hit single "Right Here."

P.O.D. is currently putting the finishing touches on their fourth major-label release. Titled "Testify," the set--which is the follow-up to 2003's "Payable on Death"--is due out later this fall. A specific release date hasn't been announced.

Taproot offered up its third album, "Blue-Sky Research," in mid-August, while Flyleaf delivered its self-titled, debut EP in May.

Canada's Default is scheduled to drop its third album, "One Thing Remains," on Oct. 11.
