Joss Stone rolling with the Stones and more this fall
Teen blues-pop singer Joss Stone is poised to spend much of the fall on the road as she tackles a mix of opening sets--most notably five shows with the Rolling Stones--headlining performances and festival appearances.
Stone's loose-knit itinerary begins with an early morning gig on Aug. 26 as part of NBC's "Today Show" summer concert series, followed by roughly a half-dozen shows per month in September, October and November. The schedule includes September dates with the John Mayer Trio and Gavin DeGraw, as well as opening performances for The Rolling Stones during that band's October stops in Miami, Tampa and Charlotte, NC, and back-to-back November shows at Los Angeles's Hollywood Bowl.
Also on tap for Stone is a slot on the bill of the Sept. 8 Fashion Rocks concert at New York's Radio City Music Hall, which CBS is scheduled to air as a two-hour primetime special on Sept. 9; and a set at the Oct. 29 Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans.
Additionally, Stone has a number of headlining dates--most of which are booked into theaters--scattered throughout her schedule. Details are included in the itinerary below.
Stone, an 18-year-old native of England, released her debut EP in 2003. Her first full-length, "Mind Body & Soul," followed last year and peaked at No. 11 on The Billboard 200 album chart.
