'N Sync Hypes The Arrival Of "No Strings Attached"

'N Sync will appear on a live webcast tonight (3/20) to promote its second album, "No Strings Attached" (Jive), which goes on sale tomorrow. Other upcoming promotional activities include a chat session, an in-store appearance in New York and several television appearances.

Tonight's live webcast will include snippets of songs from the new album and questions from the audience, but won't include live performances, according to Jive. Fans can access the one-hour show through SoundSpike at 10 p.m. EST. Streaming media company Digital Island expects heavy usage, but says it can handle 750,000 continuous streams.

On Tuesday, the group will appear on MTV's "Total Request Live" from 3:30-4:30 p.m. EST.

Later that afternoon, the group will appear at New York's Times Square Virgin Megastore at 5 p.m. EST. To get a pass to the appearance, fans have to buy the album at the store, which opens at 9 a.m.

Group members Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick will hold a chat session with fans on the Teen Magazine website on Thursday, March 23 at 9 p.m. EST.

Upcoming TV appearances include Nickelodeon's ''All That'' (March 25), ABC's ''The View'' (March 27) and ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'' (April 4). The group will probably perform "Bye, Bye, Bye" on "The Tonight Show," but that could change, according to an executive at Jive.

A March 26 performance with Gloria Estefan at the Academy Awards has now been confirmed. The group recorded ''Music from My Heart" with Estefan.

Tour dates for the group's North American summer tour are expected to be announced next week. The tour will start in May; on-sale dates have not been announced.
