Cinderella, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Firehouse team for tour

Cinderella heads up this summer's 8th annual "Rock Never Stops" tour, an outing that also features fellow rockers Ratt, Quiet Riot and Firehouse.

Sponsored by VH1 Classic, the just-launched outing touches down at a mix of amphitheaters, clubs, theaters and fairgrounds through mid-August. Details are included below.

More dates are planned, and the run is expected to wrap up in early September, according to organizers.

"We're excited about the 'Rock Never Stops' tour and getting back out on the road," Cinderella vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Tom Keifer said in a statement. "We haven't been on tour since 2002. We are definitely ready to play. A lot of it has to do with timing. I like a tour to be special, and I think it's more special when you are not on the road all the time year in and year out."

Philadelphia-based Cinderella made a name for itself in the '80s with its triple-platinum albums "Night Songs" and "Long Cold Winter," which spawned hits such as "Shake Me," "Nobody's Fool," "Somebody Save Me," "Gypsy Road" and "Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)." The group's original lineup is still intact: Keifer, Fred Coury (drums), Eric Brittingham (bass) and Jeff LaBar (guitar).

"Rocked, Wired & Bluesed: The Greatest Hits," a Cinderella best-of set, surfaced in January of this year.

Ratt rose to fame when its multi-platinum, 1984 debut, "Out of the Cellar," spawned the hit "Round and Round." A string of '80s-era platinum albums followed before the group called it quits in the early '90s. The band's current lineup features original members Warren DeMartini (guitar) and Bobby Blotzer (drums) with new additions Jizzy Pearl (vocals), John Corabi (guitar) and Robbie Crane (bass).

Quiet Riot is best known for its early '80s hit "Cum on Feel the Noize," from its multi-platinum, 1983 debut, "Metal Health." The quartet now features founding members Kevin DuBrow (vocals) and Frankie Banali (drums) along with new members Chuck Wright (bass) and Alex Grossi (guitar).

Firehouse scored in 1990 with its self-titled, double-platinum debut, which featured the hits "Don't Treat Me Bad," "Love of a Lifetime" and "All She Wrote." Original members C.J. Snare (vocals), Michael Foster (guitar) and Bill Leverty (drums) are still on board, along with new bassist Allen McKenzie.
