Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has been diagnosed with an early stage of breast cancer, her management company announced Tuesday (5/17).

Minogue has canceled all of the remaining dates on her current tour to undergo treatment.

"I was so looking forward to bringing the Showgirl tour to Australian audiences, and am sorry to have to disappoint my fans," the 36-year-old Minogue said in a statement. "Nevertheless, hopefully all will work out fine and I'll be with you all again soon."

MxPx is set to release its sixth album, "Heard that Sound," on June 7. The punk-rock band will be a main-stage performer on this year's Vans Warped Tour.

Influential bluegrass vocalist Jimmy Martin, best known for his work in Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys from the late-'40s through the mid-'50s, reportedly died Saturday (5/14) in Nashville. He was 77, and had been battling bladder cancer.

Singer/songwriter Lizz Wright will release her sophomore album, "Dreaming Wide Awake," on June 14. The set houses a mix of covers--including The Beatles' "A Taste of Honey," The Youngbloods' "Get Together" and Neil Young's "Old Man--and originals.
