Modest Mouse squeaks out spring, summer tour dates

Modest Mouse continues to back its sophomore set, last year's "Good News for People Who Love Bad News," with a round of spring and summer concerts.

The alt-rockers will launch their latest North American run--which will feature show-openers Camper Van Beethoven--with a late-May, two-night stand in Vancouver, British Columbia. Subsequent dates throughout the U.S. stretch into late June.

Included in the itinerary are performances at the Sasquatch Music Festival in George, WA, and at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN, as well as a sold-out June 20 show in New Your City's Central Park. Details are included below.

More shows will be announced, according to the group's publicist.

"Good News for People Who Love Bad News" features the cuts "Float On" and "The Ocean Breathes Salty," music videos for which are posted at the band's website.

Released in April of last year, "Good News" has sold more than 1.3 million copies, according to Epic Records. The set follows 2000's critically hailed "The Moon & Antarctica."
