Kelly Clarkson begins plotting summer shows

Currently in the midst of a spring headlining tour, "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson has started to map a subsequent summer outing.

So far, Clarkson has nailed down a handful of July shows, as well as lone June and August stops. Details are shown below.

Meanwhile, her spring tour--which kicked off in late March--is scheduled to wrap up at the end of May.

Clarkson is working the road behind her sophomore set, last November's "Breakaway." The album features the hit-single title-track, as well as follow-up cut "Since U Been Gone," both of which are streaming at Clarkson's website.

Clarkson was the winner of Fox-TV's "American Idol" talent search during the program's first season in 2002. That same year, she scored her first No. 1 hit with the song "A Moment Like This," which went on to be that year's top-selling single.

"Thankful," Clarkson's debut album, surfaced in 2003.
