Robert Plant hypes new album with U.S. appearances

Iconic rock vocalist Robert Plant has set a handful of U.S. appearances for March, months ahead of his new album's arrival.

Plant, best known for his work at the helm of 1995 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Led Zeppelin, is tentatively set to drop a new solo collection dubbed "Mighty Rearranger" on May 3. It follows his 2002 covers album, "Dreamland," and the 2003 retrospective "Sixty Six to Timbuktu," which also included some new material.

The vocalist recorded "Mighty Rearranger" last year in the U.K. with his band Strange Sensation, according to his new label, Sanctuary Records.

Plant will be the keynote speaker March 17 at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, TX. While in the U.S., he'll play his first stateside dates in three years. Details are in the itinerary below.

USA Today recently reported that Plant is expected to book additional U.S. dates for this summer.
