Sugarcult leads anti-suicide Take Action Tour
Santa Barbara, CA-based rockers Sugarcult, who in 2004 appeared on the Warped Tour main stage and opened for Green Day, will headline the fifth annual edition of the Sub City Take Action Tour.
Among the other acts scheduled to appear on the fund-raising tour are The Early November, Hawthorne Heights, Head Automatica, Maxeen and Anberlin, among others. The expected lineup for each show is listed in the itinerary below.
The Take Action Tour, presented by action-sports/fashion firm Hurley, benefits the National Hopeline Network hotline (1-800-SUICIDE) and the Youth America Hotline (877-YOUTHLINE) two suicide-prevention and crisis lines.
Last year, Sub City--a division of Hopeless Records that raises funds for various non-profit organizations--issued "Take Action! Vol. 4." The 41-track, two-disc set--priced at $6--features music from NOFX, Taking Back Sunday, Rufio, Coheed and Cambria, and others. Proceeds benefit the Kristin Brooks Hope Center, which operates the 1-800-SUICIDE line.
Sugarcult's sophomore album, "Palm Trees and Power Lines," hit stores last year and spawned the singles "Memory" and "She's the Blade."
