Live Plans Spring Tour Through The Heartland

Hard-touring rockers Live have lined up another healthy dose of concert dates, this time focusing mainly on the midsection of the United States. Besides extensively touring North America, Live has completed lengthy road trips in Europe and Australia since the late 1999 release of their latest album.

Tickets go on sale in most markets beginning today and tomorrow (4/7-8). Tracy Bonham will support on all dates on the tour's spring leg, and Local H will join the bill from May 3 to May 16, with the exception of a May 5 stop in Mankato, Minn.

Live has been touring heavily since the October release of their fourth album for Radioactive Records, ''The Distance to Here.'' The album was co-produced by ex-Talking Head and Modern Lover Jerry Harrison, who also worked on Live's 1991 debut, ''Mental Jewelry,'' and the multi-platinum LP ''Throwing Copper.''

The band is scheduled to appear on CBS' Late Show with David Letterman on April 25.
