King's X drops live album, hits the road
Rock trio King's X issues its first live album next week, and backs the set with a run on the North American club circuit.
Titled "Live All Over the Place," the two-CD collection hits stores on Nov 2. The group recorded the live tracks at various locations over the course of the last decade, beginning with 1994's "Dogman" trek through 2003's "Black Like Sunday" outing.
"King's X has been performing live since 1980 and our fans have always wanted a live album, but there were lots of legal reasons why we haven't put one out until now," singer/guitarist Ty Tabor said in a statement. "We've been with four different labels over the years and recorded more than enough material for a live album, but only now through the passage of time, are we able to release one."
Tabor said that the group culled material for the set from "thousands of hours of live recordings."
The Texas-based act launched its tour behind "Live All Over the Place" last week, and is scheduled to remain on the road through at least mid-November. Details are shown below.
A new King's X studio set is due out in April, according to the group's publicist.
