Story of the Year, Lostprophets, others team for Nintendo Fusion Tour

Alt-rockers Story of the Year head up the second annual Nintendo Fusion tour, which also features Lostprophets, My Chemical Romance, Letter Kills, Anberlin and Autopilot Off.

The 37-city outing kicks off on Sept. 20, and dates so far are set through late October. Organizers had unveiled only about half of the itinerary at press time. Details are shown below.

In addition to the tour's regular roster, Taking Back Sunday, Fall Out Boy and Matchbook Romance will perform at the Oct. 7-8 shows in Seattle.

Tickets for most shows are priced at less than $20, plus service charges, and go on sale on Saturday (8/14), according to organizers.

"We're excited to take part in the second annual Nintendo Fusion Tour this fall with our friends," Story of The Year singer Dan Marsala said in a statement. "Touring with these bands means there's a whole new group of guys we can beat up on while playing Nintendo video games on the bus!"

At each tour stop, organizers will "transform he lobby of the venue into an immersive entertainment space with music, custom lighting and specially designed gaming kiosks featuring the hottest upcoming Nintendo GameCube games," according to a press release. Giveaways are planned, and a radio-station contest winner in each city will get to compete against a member of Story of the Year.

Story of the Year continues to back its debut album, last September's "Page Avenue," which features the singles "Until the Day I Die" and "Anthem of Our Dying Day."

Lostprophets' latest set is this year's "Start Something," which spawned the No. 1 Modern Rock Tracks hit "Last Train Home," as well as new single "Wake Up (Make a Move)."

My Chemical Romance released its major-label debut, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge," earlier this year, and Letter Kills' new album, "The Bridge," landed in stores late last month.

Anberlin's debut album, "Blueprints for the Black Market," surfaced in mid-2003; a follow-up is planned for early next year. Autopilot Off issued its first full-length set, "Make a Sound," in April.
