New mom Dar Williams returns to music
Folk singer/songwriter Dar Williams, who's 2004 concert schedule hasn't been nearly as busy as fans have come to expect from her, is set to play scattered live dates through the end of the year.
Williams had good reasons for her absence from the road: she gave birth to a new son in April, and her first book, a novel aimed at pre-teens titled "Amalee," was released in June.
In addition to her upcoming live dates--details of which are in the itinerary below--Williams is scheduled to appear at upcoming book and CD signings in Edgartown, MA and Livingston, NJ; details are posted at her website.
Williams has issued five albums since she broke onto the scene with 1995's "The Honesty Room." Her latest set, 2003's "The Beauty of Rain" features guest performers Alison Krauss, Bela Fleck, John Popper and Stefan Lessard (Dave Matthews Band).
