Melissa Etheridge sets more concert dates, readies live DVD
Melissa Etheridge continues to back her latest album, "Lucky," with a round of late-summer tour dates that precede the release of her forthcoming live DVD.
Etheridge has penciled in a stretch of shows that runs from Aug. 13-26, and includes a two-night stand in Reno, NV. Details are shown below.
Tickets for most of the shows are on sale now, and members of Etheridge's fan club have access to members-only ticket packages. Details are available at Etheridge's website.
Backing Etheridge during the outing are drummer Kenny Aronoff, bassist Mark Browne and guitarist Phillip Sayce.
In February, Etheridge released "Lucky," the follow-up to 2002's "Skin." The new album features lead-off single "Breathe," the video for which is streaming at her site.
Last month, Etheridge unveiled the video for the "Lucky" cut "This Moment." The clip was culled from her April 17 performance at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, which was shot in its entirety and aired in June as a pay-per-view special.
A DVD version of the pay-per-view concert, dubbed "Lucky Live," is set for release on Sept. 28. Michael Simon--who directed Etheridge's 2002 concert DVD, "Live ... Alone"--was again at the controls for "Lucky Live." Special features include an interview with Etheridge, behind-the-scenes footage and a photo gallery.
"Lucky Live" will be available in two versions: one will feature the DVD only, while a second version will also include an audio CD of the show.
