Jerry Lee Lewis Hospitalized Overnight
Jerry Lee Lewis spent the night in a Memphis hospital after reportedly suffering an allergic reaction to medication he was given to treat a cut finger he suffered while throwing knives.
According to WMC-TV in Memphis, Lewis, 64, was injured yesterday (2/1) at his Nesbitt, Miss., home. He was first treated at an unknown hospital, where he was reportedly given a shot to ease his pain and fight infection. After suffering an allergic reaction to the shots, he was taken to Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis. A statement issued by Lewis' family said he was in good condition and in good spirits.
The groundbreaking rock singer and pianist was reportedly due to be released from the hospital today (2/2).
