Edwin McCain drops new album, backs it with summer concerts

Edwin McCain stays busy this summer with a new studio release, and a summer road trip that includes a mix of headlining dates and festival appearances.

McCain's roadwork continues on Friday night (5/28) in Ft. Lauderdale, and the singer-songwriter has shows scattered through late August. His itinerary also includes a Sept. 11 stop in Atlanta, GA, where he'll perform with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

Titled "Scream & Whisper," McCain's new album is due in stores on June 22. The set is McCain's first for DRT Records, and is the follow-up to last year's acoustic set, "The Austin Sessions."

Coinciding with the album's release will be the unveiling of McCain's revamped website, according to a message posted at the site.
