Briefly: Coachella, Clay Aiken & Kelly Clarkson, SXSW, Ted Nugent

Organizers are now confirming what had long been rumored: Southern California's upcoming Coachella festival will feature Radiohead, as well as the reunited Pixies.

Both acts will play on May 1. The Pixies split more than a decade ago.

The fifth annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is set for May 1-2 at Indio, CA's Empire Polo Field, according to promoter Goldenvoice.

"American Idol" favorites Clay Aiken and Kelly Clarkson will open a 30-date arena tour on Feb. 24 in Charlotte, NC. The tour's official announcement is expected to surface on Monday (1/19), when the third season of "American Idol" debuts.

Among the hundreds of acts that will be in Austin, TX, for this year's South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Conference and Festival, scheduled for March 17-21, are: Alkaline Trio, The B-52's, The Church, The Crystal Method, The Decemberists, The Holmes Brothers, Junior Senior, Los Lonely Boys, Mission of Burma, Modest Mouse, N.E.R.D., NOFX, Ozomatli, Papa Roach, Liz Phair, Pretty Girls Make Graves, The Sleepy Jackson, The Stills, and The Thrills.

Ted Nugent reportedly required 40 stitches after he injured himself in a recent chainsaw accident. The accident reportedly took place as Nugent was taping his upcoming VH1 series, "Surviving Nugent."
