MxPx and Simple Plan follow the holidays with month-long tour

Punk-popsters MxPx and Simple Plan get busy this winter with a co-headlining swing on the U.S. club circuit.

The run kicks off in Kansas City on Jan. 26, and is currently scheduled to wrap up in San Francisco on Feb. 25.

Sugarcult opens on all dates; Motion City Soundtrack is on the bill from Jan. 26 until Feb. 8, and surrenders its slot to Billy Talent from Feb. 9 until Feb. 25.

Washington-based MxPx is supporting its September release, "Before Everything & After," the band's first new studio set since 2000's "The Ever Passing Moment." The new batch of songs includes "Everything Sucks," "Well Adjusted" and "Quit Your Life," all three of which are streaming at the band's website.

Canada's Simple Plan released its debut set, "No Pads, No Helmets ... Just Balls," last year. Last month, the group served up a DVD titled "A Big Package for You," which features almost three hours of video footage including music videos and live performances, and also houses the group's new single, "Crash & Burn."

Sugarcult plans to release a new album titled "Palm Trees & Power Lines" early next year, according to the group's website. No release date has been set.

Motion City Soundtrack released its debut, "I Am the Movie," in June. Billy Talent's self-titled inaugural effort surfaced in September.
