Filter's World Tour Returns To The Mainland In March

Alt rockers Filter, currently sitting at No. 14 on Soundscan's Top Selling Singles chart with the track "Take a Picture," have revealed plans for a 20-city March tour. The Ohio-based group is supporting its sophomore album, "Title of Record."

Filter recently wrapped up the European and Japanese legs of its world tour, and Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii are next on the itinerary. The band hits the mainland U.S. for a March 2 performance at the San Diego club 4th & B.

Opening for Filter will be Sacramento-based rockers Oleander, who toured with Filter in Europe, and newcomers Chevelle, who are touring behind their debut album, "Point #1."

Filter is scheduled to appear on NBC television's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on March 1.

"Title of Record" comes four years after Filter's debut album, "Short Bus." The band features frontman Richard Patrick (formerly of the Nine Inch Nails touring band), bassist Frank Cavanaugh, guitarist Geno Lenardo, and drummer Steve Gillis. Former Filter member Brian Liesgang left the band before ''Title of Record'' was recorded.
