Brad Paisley gets 'Mud on the Tires' during summer tour
Brad Paisley's latest album, "Mud on the Tires," landed in stores on Tuesday (7/22), and the country singer is backing the effort with a series of summer concerts.
Paisley's schedule includes a half-dozen appearances on country duo Brooks & Dunn's Neon Circus & Wild West Show, along with a more-lengthy string of headlining dates that are scattered into October.
"Mud on the Tires," Paisley's third album, features the hit "Celebrity," which is riding in the Top 5 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. Paisley's website features a streaming sample of the cut and its companion music video, as well as the song's lyrics.
In addition to touring, Paisley's plans include his upcoming Brad Paisley Celebrity Invitational Fishing Tournament, which takes place in Nashville on Sept. 9. The event will benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
"I have visited the hospital on several occasions, and am convinced St. Jude is the finest charity in America," Paisley said in a statement. "They not only provide medical attention to the children there, they provide hope and love to them and their families. We have a wonderful opportunity here to do something we enjoy while supporting the work done for all of the children of St. Jude."
More information about the fishing tournament is available at Paisley's website.
Thirty-year-old Paisley burst onto the country-music scene with his 1999 debut, "Who Needs Pictures." The album spawned the hit singles "Me Neither," "He Didn't Have to Be," "We Danced" and the title track, and garnered the singer a slew of awards.
His aptly titled sophomore effort, "Part II," surfaced in 2001.
