D'Angelo's Throat Problems Lead To More Postponements
update:D'Angelo has canceled five more performances in three cities as he fights a throat infection. The R&B singer has already rescheduled the five shows and is scheduled to resume his tour in support of the hit album "Voodoo" in Chicago on Friday (3/31). A twice-postponed appearance at Boston's Wang Center has not been rescheduled.
At Washington, D.C.'s DAR Constitution Hall, D'Angelo's March 24 appearance has been rescheduled for April 27; his March 25 show has been pushed back to April 24; and his missed March 26 appearance has been moved to April 26.
D'Angelo's March 28 appearance at Cleveland's Palace Theater is now set for May 4; and his March 29 concert at Toronto's Massey Hall has been rescheduled for May 3.
D'Angelo missed the second night of a three-night stand at New York's Radio City Music Hall due to throat problems earlier this month, but was able to reschedule the missed performance and resume the tour.
Doctors ordered more rest for the artist late last week, which forced a second postponement of his appearance at Boston's Wang Center. The Boston date--which was originally set for March 17, then later pushed back to March 26--still has not been rescheduled, but the artist is expected to make up the show.
