Method Man leads the Def Jam Vendetta tour
In what may be the first major tour to back the release of a new video game, hip-hop acts Method Man, Capone-N-Noreaga (CNN), Keith Murray, Joe Budden and Caddillac Tah will take to the road this spring for the Def Jam Vendetta tour.
The month-long, 21-city tour--on which Method Man is billed as the host--is scheduled to open on May 12 in Milwaukee.
The Death Jam Vendetta video game hit stores earlier this month. In it, players guide the likenesses of a dozen Def Jam artists--including DMX, Method Man, Redman, Ludacris, Capone, Ghostface Killah and Keith Murray--through wrestling-ring fights held at underground clubs.
Some of the artists on the tour also have some new music to promote. Murray is scheduled to release "He's Keith Murray," his first album in five years, on July 15. Budden's current single, "Pump It Up," is a hit at hip-hop radio, and Capone's solo debut is expected to reach stores later this year.
Noreaga--recording as N.O.R.E.--issued his solo debut, "God's Favorite," in 2002.
