Britney Spears Tabs ABBA Cover Group For Opening Slot

A*Teens, a teen-age ABBA cover group from Sweden, have signed on to open a series of dates on Britney Spears' summer tour. The group's debut album, "The ABBA Generation," features a dozen ABBA songs and is due in stores on May 18.

The group, which just released the single and video for ''Dancing Queen,'' joins the Spears tour from July 19 to Aug. 14.

A*Teens opened a Radio Disney-sponsored tour on Sunday, and will play a series of dates at U.S. malls and theaters through the end of the month. Details are available on the group's official website.
