Le Tigre plots February and March dates

Feminist electro-punk trio Le Tigre will criss-cross the country in support of its second album, "Feminist Sweepstakes." The tour begins on Feb. 20 at Washington D.C.'s Black Cat club.

The band had originally planned to hit the road last fall following the album's October release, but the tour was rescheduled while band members Kathleen Hanna, Johanna Fateman and J.D. Samson worked on other projects, including launching the band's official website.

Hanna formed Le Tigre with Fateman and filmmaker Sadie Benning in 1998 while she was touring with her Julie Ruin solo project. She formerly fronted acclaimed '90s-era riot grrrl band Bikini Kill.
