Radiohead firms up summer tour plans, changes some dates
Radiohead, which early last month revealed plans for a two-leg tour of North America, has now confirmed most of the dates for that outing's second leg. The first leg, meanwhile, is set to begin later this month.
Most of the tentative second-leg dates that were originally announced have now been locked in, with some minor changes made to others. The tour's previously planned Aug. 9 stop in Philadelphia has been bumped up to Aug. 7, and the previously planned Aug. 7 stop in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, has been pushed back to Aug. 8.
Meanwhile, the kick-off for the second leg--which was originally set for Aug. 1 in Chicago--has now been moved up to July 30 in Atlanta.
Radiohead's "Amnesiac" (Capitol) was released on Tuesday (6/5), and is the follow-up to the group's critically acclaimed "Kid A." The latter album surfaced last fall and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
A streaming-audio version of "Amnesiac" in its entirety is currently available at Capitol Records' official Radiohead website.
