MxPx assembles March club tour with Good Charlotte

After spending last fall on the road as an opening act for Cypress Hill and the Offspring, MxPx is stepping up to headline a club tour. The band has confirmed a series of March dates with Good Charlotte and Slick Shoes.

The itinerary begins on March 7 in San Antonio, Texas, and wraps up later in the month with a two-night stand at the Showbox in Seattle. The power-punk trio is touring behind its 2000 Interscope release, "The Ever Passing Moment."

According to its official website, MxPx has begun working on its next release, an EP tentatively dubbed "The Renaissance EP," which will feature eight new songs. The CD, which will be released on MxPx's label Rock City Recording Company, will go on sale to fan club members a week before it hits stores. A release date has not yet been set.

Maryland-based Good Charlotte, led by 21-year-old twin brothers Benji and Joel, sent its self-titled debut to stores last fall. The record, which spawned the hit "Little Things," was produced by Don Gilmore, who also turned the knobs for Lit and Eve 6.
