Former Kula Shaker frontman announces solo outing

LONDON--Former Kula Shaker frontman Crispian Mills has announced his first solo tour. Having just finished his support slot on Robbie Williams' recent U.K. tour, Mills will play nine British club dates, beginning on Dec. 7 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Mills quit Kula Shaker in September 1999. He said in an interview, which was posted on Kula Shaker's official site in July, that he was working on his first solo album. Although no release date was confirmed for the LP, he said it promised to be "heavier and more modern sounding" than his last group's material.

Mills is the son of actress Hayley Mills.
