Crosby, Stills & Nash line up spring US tour dates

Crosby, Stills & Nash will tour the western US this spring, with a European tour to follow in July, and additional US dates to come later this year.

The tour kicks off with a May 21 appearance at the Sonoma Jazz Festival in Sonoma, CA. Following a second festival appearance--May 23 at Dana Point, CA's Doheny State Beach Festival--the group begins a run of headlining shows with two nights (5/26-26) in San Diego. The outing finishes June 12 in Seattle. Dates are at right.

CSN--David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash--will return for additional US dates in late summer, according to a press release. Full ticketing information, including the trio's planned July European slate, can be found at Crosby, Stills & Nash's official website.

The trio continues to work on a new covers-only studio album with producer Rick Rubin. The set--CSN's first since 1999's effort with Neil Young, "Looking Forward"--reportedly will include versions of Gregg Allman's "Midnight Rider" and Bob Dylan's "Girl From North Country."

"Rick Rubin's a brilliant man," Graham Nash told Billboard.com last year, "and what he wants is an album with no CSN songs. He wants to do an album of all the songs we love, all the songs we wish we've written. It's brilliant from this point of view because we usually wait five years to record an album. This way there's no pressure."

Last year the group released "Demos," a collection of demo versions and various odds and ends recorded between 1968 and 1971.
