Pennywise welcomes new singer

Pennywise has officially named Zoli Teglas as the band's new lead singer. Teglas, a longtime friend and tourmate, recently played a few Southern California shows with Pennywise following the sudden departure of former lead singer Jim Lindberg.

"What started out as a temporary position was just to good to put an end to," bassist Randy Bradbury said in a statement on the band's website. "Zoli brings to the table a tremendous vocal ability, creativity and a die hard work ethic."

Teglas will lead the band on its upcoming European tour, which kicks off in April. The tour will be preceded by a short run of West Coast dates, beginning March 17 in San Diego, CA.

The band also is working on a new record featuring Teglas on vocals.
