Westlife adds stops to 2001 tour
LONDON--Irish boy band Westlife has added six new dates to its 2001 tour, swelling the tour's total show count to 44. The venture, which will see them playing in arenas around the U.K. and Ireland, will kick off on Feb. 9 at Newcastle, England's Telewest Arena and finish at the NEC in Birmingham, England, on Apr. 18.
Extra shows have been added for Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, London and Birmingham. Tickets for the new dates go on sale on Friday (11/10).
Westlife's Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Bryan McFadden, Mark Feehily and Kian Egan, who recently scored their seventh No. 1 single in a row with "My Love," are also tipped to go to No. 1 on the album chart on Sunday (11/12) with "Coast to Coast," the group's second album.
