Dokken to hit the road in late November
Dokken has unveiled tour plans that kick off on Nov. 25 in Yucaipa, Calif., and will keep the band on the road until at least Dec. 17, according to the band's management. The group released a live album earlier this year, and is expected to release a companion video in both the DVD and VHS formats before Christmas.
Following Dokken's Nov. 25 kick-off, the band has three subsequent California dates lined up before the month's end, comprising stops in Hollywood, Santa Ana and San Diego. December dates begin on Dec. 2 in Las Vegas, followed by stops in New Mexico, Missouri and Wisconsin. A Dec. 10 stop in Minnesota is the last confirmed date on the group's current itinerary, but additional dates are expected to run until Dec. 17, according to management.
In other Dokken news, bassist Jeff Pilson will appear in the upcoming film "Rock Star," according to the band's management. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, and also features former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde and Slaughter drummer Blas Elias.
Dokken's latest album, "Live from the Sun" (CMC), was released in April. Plans are in place to release a DVD and VHS companion in time for the holidays, a spokesperson for the group said. Meanwhile, a photo book and limited-edition CD and DVD containing some material that will be featured on the upcoming release are being sold through the group's official website.
The group's most recent studio album, "Erase the Slate," was released in 1998, and features the band's current lead guitarist, Reb Beach, who replaced founding member George Lynch.
