Shinedown Gallery Spotlight: Boston, MA - Jan. 26, 2010
Things keep looking brighter for Florida alt-metal rockers Shinedown. The band recently extended its fall headlining tour in support of its third studio album, "The Sound of Madness." The set debuted at No. 8 on The Billboard 200 last summer and has since seen the singles "Devour" and "Second Chance," gain mainstream buzz.
According to the bio on the band's website, when producer Rob Cavallo asked Shinedown frontman Brent Smith what his goals were for the new album, Smith said, "You know what--when I'm dead and gone, when everybody in this band has passed or what have you, I want the world to remember this as a record that needed to be made, and that there was a reason for it." Fans will have plenty of chances to see and hear for themselves over the coming days. Tonight (1/28) Shinedown performs at the Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, PA. This weekend finds them in Atlantic City, NJ, on Friday (1/29), Lewiston, ME, on Saturday (1/30), and Sunday (1/31) in Rochester, NY.
