Breaking Benjamin Gallery Spotlight: Detroit, MI - Jan. 16, 2010

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder," as the saying goes--just ask the members of alt-metal band Breaking Benjamin. Two years away from the road have made the group's members all the more ready to reunite with their fans.

Singer/guitarist Ben Burnley, guitarist Aaron Fink, bassist Mark James and drummer Chad Szeligha have teamed up with fellow alt-rockers Three Days Grace for a co-headlining outing. So far, set lists have included such songs as "I Will Not Bow," "Hopeless," "Lights Out" and "Without You" from their new album "Dear Agony"-- which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 after it was released in September.

This Saturday night (1/23) the tour stops in Mankato, MN, for a show at the Verizon Wireless Center, and Sunday (1/24) they perform at the Rockford Metro Center in Rockford, IL. SoundSpike photographer Gene Schilling attended Breaking Benjamin's show last weekend at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, and here are some of his best shots.
