Three Days Grace Gallery Spotlight: Detroit, MI - Jan. 16, 2010

Alt-metal group Three Days Grace is putting an optimistic spin on things these days, performing in support of their third studio set, "Life Starts Now," which debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 after its September release.

In a recent interview with SoundSpike, drummer Neil Sanderson commented on the band's new perspective. "At least one band member has had to confront sickness in the family and deal with death a little bit. It's kind of been the darkest time for us. During those times, we redefined what life is."

Currently co-headlining alongside fellow rockers Breaking Benjamin, they kicked off a second leg of dates on Friday (1/15) in Peoria, IL. The tour is scheduled to run through early March. SoundSpike photographer Gene Schilling attended day 2 (1/16) of the new leg at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena, and here are some highlights.
