Trey Anastasio plots shows with Classic TAB

Phish frontman Trey Anastasio, whose group capped off 2009 with a series of November and December dates, will set out next month on a series of gigs with his side project Classic TAB.

Anastasio's roadtrip is scheduled to launch Feb. 8 in Charlottesville, VA, a show that will serve as a special benefit show for the Kristine Anastasio Manning Memorial Fund, named after Anastasio's late sister, who died of neuroendocrine cancer last April. The concert will take place on what would have been her 47th birthday.

From there, Anastasio will work his way through more than a dozen cities throughout the East, South and Midwest. Tickets for all of the performances go on sale to the general public later this month; details are shown at right.

Meanwhile, members of Anastasio's fan community can get an early crack at tickets starting tomorrow (1/6). More information is posted at the organization's website.

While on the road, Classic TAB--Anastasio, Russ Lawton (drums), Tony Markellis (bass) and Ray Paczkowski, along with new horn section Russell Remington (saxophone/flute), Jen Hartswick (trumpet/vocals) and Natalie Cressman (trombone/vocals)--will perform material that spans Anastasio's solo career, according to a press release.
