Langhorne Slim plans to 'Be Set Free' this winter
New York-based folk rocker Langhorne Slim will take to the road next month for a three-week trek of the US behind his most recent release, "Be Set Free."
The musician will begin the trip with a Jan. 21 performance in Hoboken, NJ, followed by intimate shows in 17 clubs throughout the nation. The tour, which will also feature opening acts April Smith and the Great Picture Show, currently concludes Feb. 13 in Columbus, OH. Details are shown below.
Slim unveiled his second Kemado Records release, "Be Set Free," in September. The album--produced by Chris Funk of the Decemberists--showcases drummer Malachi DeLorenzo and bassist Jeff Ratner, and follows Slim's 2008 eponymous set.
The video for "I Love You, But Goodbye," a track from the most recent release, is currently streaming at Slim's MySpace page, as is the musician's 2008 appearance on CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman."
