Passion Pit Gallery Spotlight: Seattle, WA - Dec. 9, 2009

In 2007, Michael Angelakos is said to have written a few songs for his then girlfriend as a Valentine's Day present, thus planting the seeds his band Passion Pit.

Since this May's release of the act's debut studio album, "Manners," the Boston based electro-pop outfit has been cultivating a growing fan base. Passion Pit has spent the year touring relentlessly, hitting up such summer festivals as Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, and also kicking off a headlining tour in the fall that included sets at the Austin City Limits and Treasure Island Festivals.

Passion Pit has five shows left on its current schedule. Tomorrow (12/12) the tour stops in Pamona, CA, before taking a couple of weeks off. In early January, a few shows near home base in Boston and New York City before heading overseas. Wednesday night (12/9), SoundSpike photographer Elisa Sherman attended Passion Pit's set at the Moore Theatre in Seattle and here are her best shots.
