Bad Religion sets spring West Coast dates
Southern California punk veterans Bad Religion have lined up a run of West Coast dates at House of Blues locations for early spring as fans await word on a possible new studio album.
The trek features multiple night engagements in four cities with HoB nightclubs, kicking off March 17 and 18 in Anaheim, CA, then moving to San Diego, CA (3/19-21); West Hollywood, CA (3/24-25); and concluding March 26 and 27 in Las Vegas. Details are included below.
The band continues to work on and off on a new studio album, which was originally planned for 2008, but has been delayed several times owing to scheduling difficulties and tour obligations.
"There isn't much material as of now, but we could probably guess with 99% [certainty] that we will be working on new material for 2010," bassist Jay Bentley told Punknews.org last year.
The band's most recent studio release, 2007's "New Maps of Hell," was the 14th studio album in a career that stretches back to Bad Religion's eponymous 1981 debut EP and the full-length debut from the following year, "How Could Hell Be Any Worse?" The latest album marks the band's third studio effort since the return of founding guitarist/co-songwriter Brett Gurewitz, who originally departed the group on less-than-amicable terms in 1994.
