Bloodhound Gang follows the club trail
The unapologetically juvenile alt-rock band Bloodhound Gang are preparing to embark a five-week club tour. The upcoming dates will be the band's last in the U.S. before it heads into the studio to record a follow-up to the early-2000 release "Hooray for Boobies," according to the band's official website.
"Hooray for Boobies" peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 album chart in April, after it spawned the radio hit "The Bad Touch." A new video for the track "The Inevitable Return Of The Great White Dope" was released in early October.
Bloodhound Gang produced their debut EP, "Dingleberry Haze," in 1994, and Columbia Records released the band's first album, "Use Your Fingers," in 1995. That album failed to sell, and in 1996, the band self-released a follow-up album titled "One Fierce Beer Coaster"--featuring the band's breakout single "Fire Water Burn." The album was re-released by major label DGC in late 1996.
Caviar--a band that features ex-Fig Dish members Blake Smith and Mike Willison--will open on all dates. Caviar's debut album was released in August.
