Album Chart: Bon Jovi draws 'Circle' around No. 1
"The Circle," the latest studio set from veteran New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi, claims the top slot on the US album chart, marking the group's second chart-topping debut in a row, and fourth overall.
With sales of 163,000 copies, "The Circle" managed to outdistance the competition, but still fell well short of its predecessor, 2007's "Lost Highway," which moved 292,000 copies during its first week in stores, according to Nielsen SoundScan retail data as reported by Billboard.
Meanwhile, up one spot to No. 2 with sales of 136,000 copies is Andrea Bocelli's "My Christmas," followed by Carrie Underwood's "Play On" at No. 3 with 128,000 copies, Michael Jackson's "This Is It" at No. 4 with 117,000 copies and Taylor Swift's "Fearless" at No. 5 with 91,000 copies.
Rounding out the Top 10 are the "Now 32" compilation at No. 6 with 68,000 copies, Michael Buble's "Crazy Love" at No. 7 with 58,000 copies, Flyleaf's "Memento Mori" at No. 8 with 56,000 copies, the "Glee" soundtrack at No. 9 with just shy of Flyleaf's total, and the "New Moon" soundtrack at No. 19 with 53,000 copies.
