Dave Matthews, Ben Harper. Gogol Bordello 'Larger Than Life' on the big screen

Dave Matthews Band, Ben Harper and Relentless7 and Gogol Bordello will hit the big screen Dec. 11 in the digital cinematic debut of "Larger Than Life ... In 3D," according to a press release.

Each band was filmed for the movie at different acclaimed summer music festivals. DMB's performance was shot in Texas at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, Harper and Relentless7 were filmed at Denver's Mile High Music Festival, and Gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello's set was captured during the All Points West Music & Arts Festival in New Jersey.

The film--which is expected to run for one week only (12/11-17)--is the first in a series of 3D concert movies produced by a joint venture between AEG Network Live and Auction 3D Productions using inconcert3d hi-def digital 3D technology, which allows a movie-goer to be "visually surrounded, fully immersed" in the live music experience, according to the release.

Future projects include the "Best of Lollapalooza" and "Best of Austin City Limits." Both films are expected to debut next year.
