Katy Perry unplugs for MTV

Katy Perry will star in an upcoming episode of "MTV Unplugged," set to premiere Nov. 16 on MTV.com, according to a press release.

Perry is expected to perform her biggest hits--"I Kissed A Girl" and "Waking Up In Vegas"-- as well as fan favorites and a cover of the Fountains of Wayne song "Hackensack." She also will debut a new song during the special, which will be available on demand at MTV.com following its "MTV Unplugged" debut.

MTV also will air highlights from the special across its multiple broadcast platforms, including mtvU, MTV Hits and MTV Tr3s.

AMTV, the network's all-music morning block of programming, will air performance videos taken from the taping on Nov. 16. The network's music-centric, high-definition television channel, Palladia, also will air a half-hour version of Perry's "Unplugged" on Nov. 27.

A limited-edition CD+DVD version of the show will be available Nov. 17.
