Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina support 'Twilight Saga: New Moon'
Fans of the "Twilight" series will get an early taste of "New Moon" beginning later this week when Death Cab for Cutie, Sea Wolf, Anya Marina and others from the film's soundtrack band together for a Hollywood performance.
The Nov. 6 event, which will take place at the Hollywood & Highland Mall Hot Topic store, is the first in a string of mall performances in six cities nationwide. Band of Skulls also will perform at the Hollywood show, and 10 cast members--including Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed and Peter Facinelli--will take part in a Q&A session.
Though the event is open to the public, fans can get guaranteed access to the Nov. 6 show with a non-transferable wristband that comes with the purchase of a commemorative t-shirt, available now at the Hollywood & Highland Mall Hot Topic location.
The remaining six dates will be split among two artists: Anya Marina with four shows and Hurricane Bells with two. Each mall concert will also feature Q&A sessions with at least two cast members. Details are listed below.
"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" soundtrack hit shelves last month and features 15 tracks from a variety of alt- and indie-rock outfits, including The Killers ("A White Demon Love Song"), Lykke Li ("Possibility") and Grizzly Bear featuring Victoria Legrand ("Slow Life").
The film, the second in a four-part saga based on novels by Stephenie Meyer, hits theaters nationwide Nov. 20.
