Kenny Rogers prepares for fall dates and annual holiday run
Kenny Rogers has plotted a fall tour of the West Coast, as well as the 28th installment of his signature holiday trek.
The veteran country star will hit the road beginning Oct. 1 in Snoqualmie, WA, visiting theaters and casinos through the western states into November. Rogers kicks off the "Christmas & Hits" portion of the outing Nov. 29 in Fort Pierce, FL, followed by stops in 15 cities through the Dec. 23 conclusion in Westbury, NY. The full schedule is shown below.
The singer/songwriter/actor most recently released "50 Years," a 12-track hits compilation available exclusively at Cracker Barrel locations nationwide. Three new songs--"Something's Wrong in Vegas," "Only Time Will Tell" and "She'll Believe in You"--are also included on the album.
"Water & Bridges," Rogers' most recent collection of new material, surfaced in 2006 and reached No. 5 on country album charts, making it his highest-charting release in more than 23 years. The singer, already a three-time Grammy winner, also received a Grammy nomination for his duet with Don Henley, "Calling Me."
Rogers has released more than 60 albums since his first single hit the airwaves in 1958 and, according to a press release, he remains the only artist to chart a record in each of the last six decades.
