Surviving Bee Gees reunite
The two surviving members of the Bee Gees, Robin and Barry Gibb, recently announced they will reunite for the first time since the death of their brother Maurice for a series of yet-to-be-scheduled concerts, according to The Guardian.
At the time of Maurice's 2003 death, Robin and Barry said they would no longer use the Bee Gees name. However, last summer Robin Gibb said that decision was based on emotions and that he and Barry would use the name again when the time was right, according to the UK news story.
Apparently the time is right. Robin Gibb recently announced on BBC Radio that he and his brother have finally "got through the breakwater of emotions" following Maurice's death.
Maurice Gibb died in January 2003 a few days after suffering a heart attack. An autopsy reportedly revealed a twist in Gibb's bowel and small intestine was the cause of his death.
